1) Learn to Pair

There’s nothing better than finding the perfect wine to go with your favorite meal. No matter the type of wine drinker you are or styles you like best, there’s aways a pairing for you. Even if you’re not eating a meal there is a lot to learn about wine for specific occasions.  Not only will you find your meals and wine more enjoyable, but you’ll be able to show off a little at your next get together.  Trust us, your friends and family will be praising you for finally taking this step.

2) Find New Favorites

Maybe you’re an avid wine drinker. Maybe you’re just starting to really enjoy it. There are so many varietals out there that you most likely haven’t tried them all. Rather than sit in your comfort zone all year, make 2017 the year where you discover new wines you’ve never had. The Upper Hudson Valley Wine Trail Passport will give you exclusive offers while you try some of the region’s best tasting wines. If you’re lucky you might find your new favorite. 3) Attend More Events

Perhaps one of the most fun ways to learn, sample new wines, and try out the local area’s best is at wine tasting events. Wine tasting events offer a day full of fun in unique atmospheres, bringing together wineries, local food vendors, and craft makers. Stay on the look out for Wine Rails again this August if you’re interested in attending more events. This action-packed event features a scenic railroad ride through the Adirondacks, culminating at the festival along the Hudson River. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

4) Tour the Trail

If you don’t know where to start the UHVWT offers a one of a kind experience for discovering great tasting wines while taking in the beautiful upstate New York landscape. Each winery offers a slightly different vibe and between them all the trail covers endless varietals. You can either plan a day trip yourself or get ahold of our affiliate members Hoppy Trails or Premiere Transportation.

So get out there, work towards your resolutions, and be sure to add a few of these to your list! Now’s the best time to get started!
